Praise To Complaints..

I praise You for the great things.
I whine to You about the other things.
I see You provide my needs,
yet I fuss to get my wants.
You are always faithful,
Yet I still doubt you.
You rescue me,
But I still fear.
You love me,
But I feel unloved.
You made me,
But I dislike me.
O Lord, forgive me.

The Israelites were just rescued from Egypt. They saw the sea part. But the minute they were thirsty, they started whining and doubting God. For 40 years, we see this pattern in them. They see God do something big, but still doubt and sin. How foolish they were and how foolish we are at times.

May you and I remember what God has done and will do. May you and I open are eyes to see God today. May we ease our stress but trusting in a God who can do all things. (just read Exodus if you doubt)

Bad to Good

Even if it feels the world, friends, family are out to get you, God knows how to make great things happen.

You intended to harm me, but God intendedit for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Genesis 50:20

O how I am beaten,
O how my body aches.
My heart was crushed.
It cannot withstand those who trample on it.
But , when I become weary,
My God becomes great!
What you tried to crush,
My God builds up!
Let me be weary no more,
let my God God be my my strength,
My Redeemer, my Savior.
And what you intended for harm,
My God intended for victory!

Challenge Day 5: Look Toward The Goal

"But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Jesus Christ."
Philippians 3:13-14

No more excuses, no more trying, no more whining, no more pity parties...just choose to forget what is behind and strain toward the goal ahead... a woman of God who loves and give her life to God, who cares for the body God gave her and makes her home a place of refuge, worship and teaching.

Challenge Day 4: New Year To Make A New Home

"But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Jesus Christ."
Philippians 3:13-14

How do you move forward in your home? What is your goal? First remember that your home and everything in it is a gift from God. Treat it that way! Second, your children belong to God and it is your responsibility to train them in His ways. So there are your goals. Let's move toward them.

New Year, Make New Or Same Old Choices

Was God, health or your home in your New Year Resolution? Is it the same one you made last year? Have you already decided you will fail and it is all a dream? Are you ready and willing to choose God, better health and a home that glorifies God?

As you know, I will be blunt. So, here it is, you have control over your choices. You have to decide to stop making excuses, blaming others and make the wise choices. So do you want this year to be different or do you want to stay stuck in your same old ways?

If you are ready to choose, let's start with these few steps.

  1. Take it one day, one choice at a time.
  2. Start fresh everyday with your choices.
  3. Remember it takes doing something a lot of times before it becomes a habit. So again one day at a time.
  4. Accept the Daily Choices Accountability Challenge.
  5. Do not buy one more magazine or how to book. You are just going to not read it and have one more thing in your room to put up.

So how will this work? You will put your accountability list in an email or facebook me or put it in a comment on the blog daily. I will post one scripture, one exercise tip, one home tip and one family tip each week. Each tip will be very short so you can start doing instead of just thinking about it. So if you are ready to be accountable for your choices:

1. Right now sign up by sending me an email, facebook message or post a comment on this blog.

2. Tomorrow evening check off task completed on Challenge list and send to me.

3. Every evening Monday- Friday do the same thing.

  3. Read God's Word.
  4. Exercised a total of 30 minutes throughout day.

  6. Picked up after myself.
  7. Family picked up at end of day.
  8. Had family or children devo time
  9. Went to bed on time for a full night sleep.
  10. Talked to my children about what God is doing in their life.

I hope you take this challenge. Growing closer to God, getting in better health, making our homes a refuge and a place of teaching is so important. Let me help you make those choices this year. And as I see you struggle with certain choices, I will pray for you and help you find the root of the problem. As you succeed in your choices, I will celebrate with you and praise God for what He is doing in your life.

And share this blog and challenge with a friend.
